This was on my mailbox this morning *A*.
It's my first ever dounjishi >w< and sincerely, I bought it for the tittle ;; to see a scene I liked so much as Cover/tittle was stronger than me.

But the purchase was worth of, overall because this, this and this

The first, Beato's English exercise is priceless.

I have thought a lot what could be Ange seeing in the scene of the second one. So seeing the parody killed me. it would be the most logical thing in the series though ww

And the last... way to kill all the tension

Ahem sorry for crappy scanning ;; is not my thing

EVERYONE SING THEIR OWN VARIATION OF 'HAPPY BIRTHDAY' TO RINNA BECAUSE IT IS HER BIRTHDAY

on the day she was born, the world knew that a mighty force had arrived to disturb the balance. the balance of... candy mountain.

a budding guru of wonka factory, she left one day on a journey, a journey that resulted in the consuming of the mountain. thus the mountain was gone, to steal livers no more. the balance disturbed, a sparkly fountain now springs from its place. if you find it, you too can survive on candy, gatorade, and root beer.

*peeks in*

I'm still trying to translate, albeit very slowly. Anyway, this is just to let you guys know that I've been posting translation bits up at my journal. I'm working on Kyou Kara Maou?! and have almost half of the (very long) first chapter done. I think each chapter in this novel is its own short story.

Once I have the chapter done, I'll post it up in Google docs like before. In the mean time, to my journal!

Part 1
Part 2
Part 3

As always, these are done from the Chinese version on skyfire, so there's a double layer of lost-in-translation ^^;

WHAT THE HELL IS THIS BULLSHIT

NOW DECADE IS CROSSING OVER WITH FRESH PRECURE? WHAT THE HELL, TOEI. JUST STOP THIS. I WAS HOPING THAT THE DECADE × DOUBLE MOVIE WOULD BE THE END BUT YOU JUST HAAAAAD TO CROSS IT OVER WITH ANOTHER TOEI PRODUCTION.

I mean, first Den-O, then Shinkenger, then Double... is there not a series that Decade won't rape? I bet everyone sees Tsukasa in their nightmares now. UGHHHHHH.

(Yes, Decade was that awful because I really had no idea what was going on. I liked the cameos and characters though. It was just the plot that was so awful! I even cringe when I hear Gackt's Journey Across the Decade because it reminds me of that awful show.)

I want this journey to see an end now. Once Tsukasa has solved everything. Because there's no reason for him to thread into ANOTHER WORLD.

It would be funny to see Tsukasa try to dance with the Precure girls though.

Edit:

CAN ANYONE PICTURE TSUKASA/DECADE DANCING TO THIS? I THINK NOT.

The special would probably have to be animated like how Crayon Shin-chan crossed over with Den-O that one time.

Sorry, spamming, but I just got an email from the official Queen mailing list that Roger Taylor has released a new solo single! I really liked Electric Fire and Fun in Space (Happiness? and Strange Frontier I didn't like quite as much, but they too had some good songs), so as much as I've loved the Queen+ Paul Rodgers stuff, I've been waiting for a new solo album from him for ten years now and I hope this means that one is forthcoming.

the video for the new song embedded under the cut )

The only thing even better would be a solo album from Brian May, who unfortunately seems to bemore interested in things other than music these days (I'm not quite pathetic enough to have bought the book on 19th century stereophotography he wrote, but I did buy the one about the Big Bang).

Random thought of the day: what was the first space western?

It always annoys me when non-scifi fans people claim that Joss Whedon invented the space western, because - d'uh - Star Wars, Cowboy Bebop and Star Trek's "Space: the final frontier..."

But I'm currently re-reading Arthur C. Clarke's A Fall of Moondust, written six years before Star Trek aired, and it has a passage where a character is reading a book about the relationship between the western genre and space travel. So the idea of space as the final frontier then predates even Star Trek and the space race, and I was wondering how old a genre is it then? Because all the scifi that uses western themes that I can think of is post!space-age, and I've always assumed that the space western was then born from the idea of going to the moon as the new Manifest Destiny for America.

I know that este/isto means "this" and esse/isso means "that", but what are the differences between este/esse and isto/isso? When is it appropriate to use the e demonstrative, and when do you use the i demonstrative? My family speaks European Portuguese, so if there's a difference, I'd prefer the European Portuguese distinction. Thanks!

From the LA Times: USC professor creates an entire alien language for 'Avatar'

Paul R. Frommer has created a new language for the upcoming James Cameron film Avatar: Na'vi. The vocabulary is about 1,000 words at this point. The article tells of Frommer's journey through making the language for the film.

The most amusing part to me was when he was disappointed about having to fit the language to human throats and voices.

  Been awhile since I last updated here.I've been following quite a few animes during the fall season,since there have been so many good ones.
  Alot of people seem to not like the *Shugo Chara!Party* season of SC!,since there's a section with SC!Egg playing games and an animated section with the charas.Personally,I find the *Puuchi Puchi* shorts about the charas to be hilarious.But,I do agree that I liked the actual "main" anime-ep.part being longer.

   Black Friday is this Friday.There are lots of good sales this year.But,money is kinda short,so no extravagances for us here.
  However,if you can afford them,both Wal*Mart and Best Buy have some nice PCs on sale.Plus, GameStop has the prices of their used handheld consoles (GBA-SP / NDS / PSP) slashed for Friday as well.And,some stores--like Dollar General--are even putting commonly cheap things like Coca-Cola 2L's on sale (75c),too.
  So,who plans to be up super early Friday morn to hit the Black Friday sales?
                                                                ******************************
     Also,this year,there seems to be more and more of these "pre" Black Friday sales and Thanksgiving Day sales.With all this,'tis the season to be broke.After you get through with the sales,how can you expect to have much money left?
                                ***********************************************************
  What does everyone intend to do for Thanksgiving this year?After all,it is the day after tomorrow.This--to me--is a family-based holiday,and I feel it best to celebrate with family.
   This year,we're going to my brother's place to celebrate with him and his girlfriend,MJ.We're gonna help cook,but I am sure it will still be fun.
   I remember when every1 used to watch the Thanksgiving Day Parade on TV for Thanksgiving.I wonder if anybody still watches it.Surely,some1 must.
                               ************************************************************
    Feel free to tell me how you're celebrating Thanksgiving,and what you plan to purchase on Black Friday.

...I run into this expression a few times, e.g.

"Donc par depis, je suis venu ici pour ..." ou bien "je fais une mise a jour windows par depis" ou "Je tente par depis de me connecter", ou "quelqu'un qui oublie par depis", etc.

however, I am not sure about the translation - sounds like "in spite of", "nevertheless", "despite"... ? Is this right? I cannot really be sure about what it means...

help, quelqu'un?

I have to get up in two hours. Ahahaha. I predict nappage when I get home.

My mood has improved drastically since switching to the Celexa. However, I have a higher frequency of hallucinations (i have ultradian bipolar with hallucinatory features). Sigh.

I also managed to scratch my own eye. This is going to be a beautiful day.

Checkup for our kidney and mono, then back home.

Ta.

PS: Next week I find out if I need another eye surgery. I know I do, but we'll see what happens.

I also find out all of my ear issues next week.

(4) We support workers’ right to secret ballot by opposing card check;

(5) We support legal immigration and assimilation into American society by opposing amnesty for illegal immigrants;

(6) We support victory in Iraq and Afghanistan by supporting military-recommended troop surges;

(7) We support containment of Iran and North Korea, particularly effective action to eliminate their nuclear weapons threat;

(8) We support retention of the Defense of Marriage Act;

(9) We support protecting the lives of vulnerable persons by opposing health care rationing and denial of health care and government funding of abortion; and

(10) We support the right to keep and bear arms by opposing government restrictions on gun ownership.

The Republicans are saying less then 8 of these= not a conservative.

I really wish my job security was such I could buy a house right now. There's something almost affordable, I'm just scared of losing everything if I lose my job. I really want $60-70k saved up before thinking about it, especially with a 9 yr old car with 120k miles on it.

I really need to wait 3 years.

...Pat yourself on the back every now and then.

I know, because I've been obsessing about everything I've done wrong or haven't done right (again). While totally forgetting all my achievements and good qualities. Even worse, I've been using my achievements and good qualities as a stick to beat myself with whenever I don't live up to a Platonic standard of perfection.

I mean, I can write stories and play musical instruments (although, admittedly, I'm very out of practise), have a science degree, have reached a very high level of philosophical thought, and can pass exams and assignments using the remnant of my energy and time. But all I've been thinking about is everything I haven't done or achieved, and comparing myself to other people negatively.

Okay, I've been blowing my own trumpet, I admit. But the real point is - that everybody, yes, YOU as well, should take time to appreciate everything good about themselves.
